Day 16

1) absolutely gorgeous run on a trail/road through the surrounding farms/towns, beautiful mountains and perfect weather
2) breakfast made me think of my family...ate a croissant and baby bun for mom, yogurt drink for dad, tropical fruits for mar
3) i've incorporated tricep pushups into my 100 pushups a day
4) we did student presentations on various readings this morning, our reading was on food sovereignty, which was institutionalized into the ecuadorian constitution in 2008 as part of the buen vivir initiative pushed for my social movements of coalition btw peasant/rural communities, indigenous groups, other ethnic minorities
5) lunch was fried egg on rice with lots of fries, a few too many fries for me :( i hate to not eat food/waste food but sometimes it happens, mom would like the avocado ratio of our salads, its half an avocado for a small bowl of lettuce and tomato
6) we did research question presentations in the afternoon! my group wants to look at cooperative models
7) word of the day: information-processing
8) a quick session on safety related to drugs, alcohol, and sexual assault
9) finally sat down to work on more applications for summer stuff....drinking lots of tea and working on my laptop on the couch makes me think of my work times at ALANA at Vassar...having an amazingggggggg time here but also miss Vassar just a little bit
10) dinner was pasta! carbonara for the meateaters, veggies for the rest of us. and more fruit juice :D
