Day 7
1) free day!
2) learned about pecans, how they are sorted and cracked. lots of trees in GA so people collect them off the ground and bring them in to make some $$, true foraging
3) apparently china is a big importer of pecans
4) a local woman used to fertilize her pecan tree with meat drippings, resulting in pecans that tasted like marshmallows
5) walked to a small farmers market
6) empanada and collards for lunch at an argentinian place
7) walked around downtown athens and did lots of window shopping
8) lovely sunny weather for a short afternoon run around surprisingly hilly UGA campus
9) word of the day: relaxed exploration
10) ordered food from maepole, which is run by the owner of condor chocolates
